JAMES SET FOR PERUVIAN ADVENTURE

Banbury, motorsport sales account manager, James Walters, is gearing up for the trip of a lifetime to South America to
raise money for Parkinson’s Disease.

James and his sister will be taking part in Trek Peru 2008 in October and aim to raise a minimum of £75,000 with a target figure of £100,000 all for the charity. The charity is one close to James’ heart as his father has been a sufferer of Parkinson’s Disease for a number of years.

The trek takes place at high altitude in the mountains of Peru reaching a peak of 9,600 feet! James will be walking for eight days, covering 12-15km each day on steep and uneven tracks and sleeping in remote areas for seven nights in a two-man tent with no running water.

Feb 28th - Your entry has been added to the guestbook. Check out the fundraising! It is going so well and that is only from the first email that i sent out. I have now got my collection buckets and tins from Steve at the PDS and once i get the parkinson's merchandise i will be off round the bars with Emily in Moseley and Harborne to do some intensive collecting. A massive thank you to all those who are donating, please keep it coming. I am already up to £1,555! A massive massive thank you to GABOR MAYER who donated an excellent £1,000, which was a fantastic surprise. I am still confirming events in Birmingham and the plan is now to do the fancy dress party in April, Horse racing night in May and poker night in June. Just sorting out the venue and fine details and will confirm everything.

Feb 20th - So we're off to a flying start with the fundraising. Thank you so much for the first few people who have donated. Please keep it up as there will definitely be more of that to come. I will keep you posted as i arrange the events starting with a horse racing night in March and a fancy dress party in April. Watch this space.
